Welcome to Church Holme Camping in Danby Wiske
We are a small welcoming family run green field site near Northallerton in North Yorkshire, directly on the Coast to Coast National Trail. The site was opened in 2021 by Steve and Vicky, and ‘helped’ by daughter Isabel.
Danby Wiske is a small friendly agricultural village near Northallerton surrounded by farms. The village has the local White Swan pub and the grade 1 listed Parish Church.
All of the large pitches are grass with 10 amp hook up with only one hardstanding. There is strong 4G connectivity at the site and wifi in the camp kitchen. We have a separate paddock just for walkers camping.
Danby Wiske is a way point on Wainwrights coast to coast walk, with many walkers and cyclists stopping by to use the Tuck shop and take a rest. Breakfast and lunch is available to anyone on site, or walkers and cyclists passing through.
The site is set in two acres but there is a further 5 acres to explore alongside the sheep (dogs on a lead). There are many local walks to venture from the doorstep, including the remainder of the coast to coast walk.
